Hello there!
Today's post is not about crafts, but I'd like to share with you something that a good friend has just shared with me.
I have been eating chia seeds for a month now, and I love it! There are many health benefits to it and it's crunchy in my plain water (quite fun to drink), so why not give it a try?
I bought my chia seeds (Australia, organic. Orange packaging) from Unity. Some Fairprice sells it too.
This is an article more on chia seeds and you may even grow the plant! There you go :)

Busy elf
Busy busy busy! This is my favorite season of the year, but it can get a little overwhelming sometimes.
Orders are coming in and I can't be happier :)
It makes me wish that I didn't have to go to my day job and stay home to work on those orders and my own set of gifts for friends and family.

My very first favorite craft blog
is whipup.net
The writer, Kathleen, whom started a serious crafting passion in me, probably inspired so many others to go forward with their handmade stuff, has passed away in May. I found out about this last month - yes, I was abit slow... When I tried again this morning for their website, it's no longer there, but the Facebook page still is, although it's no longer being updated.
I remember whipup.net was always the first blog I would go to whenever I switch on the computer, and I learned quite a bit of crafting tricks from the tutorials.
I hope her children are coping fine.
I hope the people inspired by her will continue to work hard in what they love, and succeed in life, like she had.

Embroidered!
Hello you!I really enjoy embroidering / handstitching words and little designs like this bee here... I used to think it was quite a daunting task. But I guess it's the same for every thing you do, you get better as you practice :)
I really like the bee.
I've tried to iron this pouch to no avail. :( I wonder what's wrong... Why won't the fabric straighten up and look pretty for my camera???
Notice that this pouch has a metal zip instead of the usual colorful normal ones? It was my sister whom gave me the idea that metal zips might give a pouch an entirely different look, and I think it does! (of course, it's also more expensive!)
Do you like this? If you have a design you really like in particular, and would like it embroidered and made into a pouch, let me know! I can customize ;)

Bunny Plush & I
Because I'm random. Just because.
3 little facts about me:
1. I use alot of tape. ALOT.
2. I hope to watch Phantom of the Opera live one day. Please come to Singapore again soon!
3. I have zero discipline when it comes to food.
4. I love bunnies and I just made a plushie:
Anyway, I got the inspiration of this bunny being supported by its tail from all those many iphone casings that has features that come out to act as a stand for the phone.
I really like this bunny so... I'm not selling it! But of course, I'm more than happy to make another one if anyone is keen.
Email me at madewithlove.n@gmail.com if you are keen!

So What?
It's titled "So What?" to show that, you may encounter so much good and bad, but in the end of the day, you could just shrug your shoulders and go "So What?" so what if people say you aren't good enough? So what if you had a bad day? Just shake it off and be at peace with yourself :)
He has a solo exhibition at the Sculpture Squre (155 Middle Road) from 29th Feb till 3rd March. Trust me, you wouldn't regret making a trip down to see his works.
He's a friend of my uncle, and he knew my sister and I since we were little girls. I've only visited him at his workshops a few times before, (the above photo taken just yesterday) but every time I chance upon his work all over Singapore, I feel humbled and awed.
I hope you can make the trip down to the exhibition and see this for yourself.

Something that made me smile.
Last year, I made a pouch for a friend who lives on Railay, Krabi (Thailand)
She was our rock-climbing guide, a few years back, and we became friends. We've always been going back to where she works whenever we're there to climb.
She made these chalk bags for us!
So when we went back a few days back to Railay, I noticed that she was using the pouch everyday! She carried it everywhere she went. It made me really happy :)
See how dirty and worn-out it got to! Haha
Needless to say, I'm making her another as a gift!
Cute Plush!
so i saw this one day...

and it was TOO CUTE to be ignored!
and so... i made myself one!
Because it was so adorable, I gave it to my Valentine :)

Namecards are ready!
My brother, Ian, designed it for me. He's into this colour right now - happily, I love it too! The colour is called Magic Mint :)
I love the font, I love the funny weird tree. I made that coaster some time back!
(and yes I can customize that coaster if you'd like!)

Sewing is scary business
Know why? Because once you get a little too arrogant, needles break! And when needles break suddenly, it's very loud and scary. I jumped when I broke this one just a few minutes ago.
When I realized that the needle point was broken, I almost tore my entire machine apart to search for it, until I made a lucky guess that it may be stuck in the fabric... and I was right!
*phew*
My machine is fine :)

Hi Guys!
Are you an animal lover?
I recently knew about this Cat Welfare Society (click below logo for link). I love cats. Adore them. If you like to play a part in this welfare society, check out their website on what you can do for them. I'm helping to spread the word, and I'm getting that adorable 2012 Calendar! (although I already have one from Animal Lovers League! haha)

Leopard Cat
Just want to share with you about this beautiful animal I saw at the zoo last Sunday.
The Leopard Cat - Its size is just like your usual cat but its spots are just like the leopard's. It's a wild animal in Asia, but believed to be extinct in Singapore since 1968! However, they found a roadkill in 2001.
SO anyway... this is quite a random post, but I just can't forget how beautiful that lone Leopard Cat was in the zoo. When you do visit the zoo, do drop by to take a look :)

Beautiful Sunset
Hi guys!
I'm really excited about this Saturday's very first lucky draw and to give away a Christmas-edition Makeup Pouch and a pair of matching coasters :)
Meanwhile, I'd like to share with you one of the most beautiful sunsets that I had ever seen. A few days ago, my family and I went to Punggol Waterfront, just to check the place out, and were rewarded with this beautiful sight.

Let's get organized!
Hi Guys!
I just got back from Bangkok, and after a fitful sleep last night, I woke this morning, all ready and inspired to sew, BUT! My room was (and still is...) so very very messy! So I put on some music (Boyce Avenue, by the way!) and started organizing all my stuff.
Then when I was tidying up the rolls and rolls of ribbons - yet again for the hundredth time - I remembered coming across online, something really simple and cool method of organizing them, so I grabbed an empty box (I love keeping boxes. Reuse them, don't throw!) and started vandalizing it :-P
Isn't this so much neater and more fun too?
Okay back to tidying up my messy room!

let's start things off with...
a BIG hello!
thank you for visiting my blog.
i've always loved making things, especially sewing little accessories for myself and my family. it makes me happy whenever i see them using a pouch or a bag that i made.
when i was a kid, my Mum would ask for my help to thread a needle so she could mend a piece of clothing for one of us, and i would often watch how she did it. i guess i picked up the basics from there. Mum noticed my interest and bought me a little sewing machine for me some time ago. i suspect that there was more to it than just my interest, because ever since then, whenever someone needed some alterations or patching up of their clothing, i'm the first and only person they go to!
anyhow, i get my inspirations from everywhere i could, but mostly from the Internet. there are so many talented crafters out there with really beautiful works! even when i don't feel up to sewing, i still look up on their latest creations just for the fun of it.
so there you go, that's a little bit about me! time to do some sewing!
love, n
